Training as a 50 year old athlete is not the same as training as a 25 year old athlete.

It's all about balance.

As we age, our sense of balance changes and slowly deteriorates. Without balance - even with the most determined athletes - form fails, burnout and frustration sets in, and the risk of injury increases.

Imagine balance was trainable, and with improvements in it, you could train and perform like you did years ago. That's where I come in.

We often simplify balance into a yoga-like notion - the ability to stand on one foot, but it is so much more. It is an umbrella term for many characteristics - coordination, proprioception, body awareness, etc. The human body can be out of balance in many ways...think of poor posture as an example, or having overly tight muscles while others are loose, or even a nagging injury that limits freedom of movement.

The strive for balance is the strive for all parts of the body to exist in synchrony and harmony with each other.

I am a passionate athlete, trainer, and a life-long student of human movement and kinetics. I want for everyone what I want for myself, a path to the future where I can train and perform every day - whether it be in the gym, in my daily activities, or whatever life throws my way.

By focusing on balance, we set the foundation for regaining freedom of movement and resilience - which are the basis for all of the tangible and measurable goals like strength, weight loss, and endurance.

After obtaining a certification in this discipline from the American Council on Exercise many years ago, I have had the pleasure of working with over 100 clients in this demographic on this very endeavor.

I am excited to create a personalized plan that rejuvenates your joy of movement and performance.
